“The three of us have always played together as far back as we can remember. In fact our original source of inspiration was the theatre and not music. We wrote scenes, even plays and performed them, even making all our own costumes. Most were not acted by us but by puppets, which we also made. From these beginnings we began to develop our artistic creativity.

Looking back on all of this we have come to understand that the music that we have arranged for piano trio were really melodies which would become music for our performance and not just a way to extend our repertoire. If each is trying through her own instrument to tell a story, that each should come together may become the should of ensemble, the togetherness of each. We do not always think alike but the goal is to form an essential and genuine unity. It has been said of us that we “are a single organism with six hands” and that our playing s is “seamless”, “they played like three hearts beating as one”. It is surely our domestic theatre that forms the basis and origins of these sentiments. .

The one thing that we believe we have never lost is our need to tell a human story and to have others hear and understand it. In doing this each of us has sought to preserve her own voice whiles also listening to the others and thus to form the essence of ensemble as the trio. Despite the complexities and our differences, we believe that the main gift that fate has bestowed upon us, is that we continue to play together
